22 October 2023, will be written in Golden letters in the annals of history of the AFA Ernakulam Chapter. This is the day when we moved to a permanent office in the premises of Air Veterans' Charitable Society building, Eroor, Ernakulam. Air Marshal B Manikantan AVSM VM, AOC-in-C SAC IAF inaugurated the office building in the presence of distinguished guests, air veterans and their families.
On 15th Aug 2024, AFA Ernakulam Chapter celebrated our nation's 78th Independence Day with great honour and enthusiasm.
Programme commenced with receiving our Chief Guest Veteran Cpl Augustine VA followed by Air Force Song. Attending members and their families observed one minute silence for the disaster victims of Wayanad.
The Tricolour was hoisted by our Chief Guest Veteran Cpl Augustine VA an Octogenarian and War Hero of 1965 and 1971.
AFA Ernakulam Chapter celebrated our nation's 74th Republic day infront of AFA Ernakulam Chapter office. Air Veteran Augustian PA, Honourable Judicial Member CESTAT was the chief guest for the celebrations. Presence of our family members was another attraction for today's RD Celebrations. Veteran HFL Madhusoodhanan Pillai welcomed all attendees. Honourable Judicial member unfurled the national Flag as per scheduled time and conveyed Republic day message to all members and families. The programme was disbursed after sweet distribution. Jai Hind.
General Body Meeting of the chapter was conducted on 22 May 2022 at CIFNET Auditorium, Kochi. The event was a much anticipated and memorable one for the members and their families since it was conducted after a gap of more than 2 years due to Covid. The enthusiasm and energy was visible in everyone participated in the meeting. The occasion includes felicitation to 1965 & 1971 War Heros and awards for professional excellence to the children of chapter members.
AFA Ernakulam, in tune with the constitution of AFA Central, the functioning of AFA Ernakulam Chapter focus on the welfare of Air veterans in the District and same time carry out a range of activities to enhance the awareness level of general public about Indian Air Force.
